This site contains the pondering of an aging renaissance man in Vermont.
Look around my site and you’ll see that I enjoy writing—but have far too little time to do it often. I also love photography—but lack the time to do it even as a serious hobby. I also have unhealthy obsessions with geology, geography, politics, local history, and archaeology. And though my time is usually pretty limited, most recently with renovations to our 96-year-old home, I still hope to one day catch up on reading some of the hundreds of books I’ve accumulated over the years…and the hundreds more I’d like to collect!
My education matched my wide range of interests, with undergraduate work at the University of Delaware that included majors in English and anthropology, minors in history and political science, and two years of Russian! (Но не ожидайте меня говорить по-русски!)
I followed up with a Master of Arts in English and publishing at Rosemont College, where I studied digital design, nonfiction writing, editorial practice, and…poetry! Beyond college, I continue to learn as much as I possibly can about everything I can. Mentally taxing? Perhaps. But I wouldn’t have it any other way!
As far as social content is concerned, I’m only (somewhat) active on Mastodon right now, but am also looking into Pixelfed as an Instagram/Flickr replacement.
